EUROSTAT: Lithuania Shows Highest Increase in Retail Trade
EUROSTAT has informed that in January 2010, compared with December 2009, the highest increase in retail trade in the EU-27 Member States was observed in Lithuania (+7.1%).
Lithuania’s Rating Outlook Raised by Fitch on Budget
Bloomberg has today announced that Lithuania had the outlook on its credit rating raised by Fitch Ratings after the Government implemented an austerity program to curb the budget deficit.
Lithuanian Cities Top-rated by the fDi Magazine
The benchmark study “European Cities and Regions of the Future 2010/11” by the fDi Magazine, assessed 223 cities and 142 regions in Europe and ranked Lithuania’s capital city Vilnius the 2nd Best Large European City for Cost Effectiveness, with Riga (Latvia) standing on the very top and Lviv (Ukraine) ranking third.
