Names of GetJar and Lithuania Pronounced Loudly by the World Economic Forum
For the first time World Economic Forum selected the Lithuanian mobile application creator GetJar as one of the world’s most innovative Technology Pioneer 2011 companies. From the 31 companies worldwide GetJar is among only four other companies related to the Internet technologies.

The Lithuanian Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the Office of the Prime Minister and Ministry of Finance prepared the annual Review state-owned companies’ review, based on information derived from various external sources, such as financial statements of enterprises, Center of Registers, Department of Statistics, VĮ Valstybinis Miškotvarkos Institutas, Bloomberg, information provided by separate ministries, and other.
Lithuanian Minimum Wage is One of the Smallest in the EU
Statistics agency Eurostat determined that the National Minimum Wage (NMW) in Lithuania is one of the smallest in the EU. At the moment NMW in Lithuania is EUR 232, and it is 7,25 times smaller than in Luxembourg; NMW is smaller only in Romania (EUR 142) and Bulgaria (EUR 123).
