Science And Technology Parks


Lithuania’s science and technology parks seek to provide a comfortable environment for commercializing R&D activities and integrating business, science, and research by supporting knowledge transfers leading to the exploitation of research results and to the development of marketable products and services. Science and technology parks develop favourable infrastructure for the establishment of new innovative businesses in Lithuania and encourage the growth of existing businesses engaged in the development of innovative technologies.

At present, there are six science and technology parks (STP) in Lithuania:

The construction and establishment of the first Baltic medical and pharmaceutical valley was started in the capital city Vilnius in 2007. The valley will unite the best pharmaceutical companies, scientists, researchers and educational institutions in this sphere together to do common research in order to create new medicines, new diagnostic methods and means to more effectively cure diseases. 700 scientists and researchers are already working in the area of the future valley.
